CLASS 29 - CAPSTONE DAY

Congratulations to LEADERship Class “Mighty Fine 29” for completing their 10-month program, and are now official LEADERship alumni. CLASS 29 - PUBLIC SAFETY DAY

LEADERship Class 29 was arrested and on their way to the Martin County jail by and bus and paddy wagon.  The class enjoyed Public Safety Day by visiting the City of Stuart Police, Martin County Sheriff’s Office, City of Stuart and Martin County Fire Rescue and the Court System.  They has a full day of experiencing the many hats and training the law enforcement and fire officer are required to do to keep our community safe.  A special thanks to Alumni Coordinators Captain Heather Rothe, Sergeant Brian Bossio, Community Outreach Manager Trish Kukuvka, Chief Deputy, Court Manager Tom Harmer and Ocean Rescue Chief Bradley Beckett, and many other officers who assisted in the day.

LEADERship Class 29 enjoyed Environment Day by experiencing a day outdoors and out of their usual environments.  It was a glance at how our county's surroundings affect our daily lives.

LEADERSHIP CLASS 29 – GOVERNMENT DAY

The LEADERship Government Day committee coordinated a great day encompassing county and city administration, constitutional officers, the election process and much more.  A Special thanks to all the Alumni volunteers: Nicki van Vonno, Amy Bottegal, Scott Bovee, LC Campbell, Tom Campenni, Joe Connelly, Tim Kinane, Taryn Kryzda, Jennifer Manning, Randy Pennington, Kerry Sees, George Stokus and Tara Zweben.

LEADERSHIP CLASS 29 – GOVERNMENT DAY

This year’s Class 29 candidates were Christine Georges, Bridget Morrey, Cher Fisher, Kloee Ciuperger and Craig Perry.  The Class enjoyed campaigning and the winner was Kloee Ciuperger.

CLASS 29 – COPES DAY

Congratulations to Class 29. The Mighty Fine Twenty nine was the name they chose after sharing a day of challenges, accomplishments, laughter and good memories during their COPES Day.  Thanks to Alec Connolly and his crew at Gulfstream Council, Boys Scouts of America for their coordination and expertise of the program.

CLASS 29 - HISTORY AND CULTURE DAY

Class 29 was introduced to the unique history and culture of Martin County, through several informative tours and hands-on participation. Special thanks to the committee, consisting of Francine Beckstead, Denisha Bonds, Tammy Calabria, Elisabeth Glynn, Jeremy Harris, Nancy Turrell and Gene Zweben.

CLASS 29 – ECONOMICS DAY

LEADERship Class 29 spent the day immersed in Martin County’s economy.   Getting an update on the local economy, hearing from a local economist, touring local businesses and debating the tax changes.  The planning committee coordinated a great day.  A special thank you to LEADERship Alumni:  Jill Ball, Doreen Barnes, Tom Campenni, Charlene Lyons, Lisa Satur and George Stokus.

CLASS 29 - HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES DAY

LEADERship Class 29 spent the day touring the Health and Human Services facilities in Martin County.  They were treated to an afternoon snack at House of Hope.  They enjoyed a cooking demonstration by the Martin County Health Department on ways to make healthy and cost effective meals. The Planning committee coordinated a great day by conducting tours and presentations by local health services and non profits organizations.  A special thanks to LEADERship Alumni:  Jennifer Ahern, Jill Ball, Doreen Barnes, Wendie Beradi, Elisabeth Glynn, Sharon Kinane, Agnieszka Marshall,  Dalynn Sotomayor and Tim Kinane.
