Class 23 Culture and History Day
During a visit to the Tuckahoe Mansion the leaders were given an art class by Lynn Barletta of Visionary School of Arts, shown are class members Jolynn Whitten, Kim Waser and Jennifer Ahern. Thanks to our alumni coordinator who planned the day, Francine Beckstead, Sue Hedgepeth, Nancy Turrell and Peggy Wood.

Class 23 Culture and History Day
At the LEADERship History/Culture Day Session Class 23 learned about the St. Lucie River issues from Mark Perry, Executive Director, of Florida Oceanographic Society and toured the facility. They also visited the House of Refuge, Tuckahoe Mansion, Children's Museum, Cultural Center and Barn Theatre. A social at the end of the day was hosted by the Barn Theatre. Thanks for allowing our leaders to learn more about your organization.

Class 23 Health & Human Services Day
Class 23 toured the Kane Center during the Health & Human Service Day in February. During the morning session they shared their homework assignment to visit various non-profit facilities. Thanks to a panel of alumni who participated in informing the class about the many services the community offers.

Class 23 Government Day
The homework assignment for Government Day was to pick candidates and run a real election, with campaigning and voting for the winner at the end of the day. Candidates were Matt Pilot, Lisa Compagno, Jolynn Whitten, Kelly Hilton-Green and Kim Waser.

Class 23 Government Day
Class 23 leaders enjoyed meeting Congressman Patrick Murphy who exchanged some Q & A with them. The LEADERship session was Government Day coordinate by alumni Nicki van Vonno, Jennifer Manning, Taryn Kryzda and Melissa Corbett. Thanks to all the county and city elected officials who spoke to the class about the services they provided to the community.

Class 23 Education Day
LEADERship Class 23 members Bill McConaghy, Diane Seeland, Ced Humphrey and alumni coordinator, Karen Ladwig were amazed and impressed at the Education Day tours and presentations. One of the many school academies they visited was the Tiger Woods Academy. Thanks to the Martin County School District and Indian River State College for hosting our day.

Class 23 Economic Day
The afternoon of Economic Day was spent in Indiantown which has a population of 6,144. Class members Genevieve George, Kim Waser and Kelly Hilton Green try out the rocking chairs after lunch at the Seminole Inn. They toured a number of our counties major employees who produce citrus, energy and flour. Thanks to our sponsors Business Development Board, Chapman & Plymale Law, P.A., Economic Council, Hustons Commercial Interiors, ITS Fiber Data Center and Stuart Lodge Assisted Living.

Class 23 Economic Day
Class 23 leaders Debbie McCaughey, Lisa Compagno and Jeremy Savard tour a multi-million dollar yacht being built at Jim Smith Boats. On Economic Day the class toured various manufacturing facilities that impact our economy. Alumni coordinators were Peter Kemp, Karen Ladwig, Patrick LaConte, Jennifer Manning, Jill Marasa, Tammy Simoneau and Brian Powers.

Class 23 Criminal Justice Day
Deputy Sheriff Eric Schaubel works with K-9 Ronin during a demonstration at the police department. Class members also were able to ride with a road patrol office and share their experience. Alumni Coordinators were Marsha Ewing, Clerk of Court, Major Bob Pryor and Sgt. Doug Pierce Sheriff's Office; Lt. Tom Harmer, Lt. Bill Pecci, and Det. Sgt. Steve Graff City Police Department.

Class 23 Ropes Day

The first class member to go on the high exercises was Lisa Compagno, shown on the high wire. Lisa attempted all four of the high exercises and did an outstanding job. Thanks to the support and cheers her class members. It was a very challenging and rewarding day for everyone.

BIZtown, a Junior Achievement Program, at Crystal Lake Elementary School was showcased by the fifth grade students with all Class 23 participating in the towns activities. Alumni coordinators, who did an outstanding job, were Debbie Banta, AJ Chase, Tammy Calabria, Karen Ladwig and Karen Smith.
