Cleaning tips for your business

How to Make Your Customers Feel Safe at Your Business

The coronavirus has changed the way we see the world and plan our day to day activities. Now that the state is reopening, it’s more important than ever that you reassure your customers that it’s safe to visit your business. In this blog post, you’ll learn how to do just that and the best part is you can start implementing these ideas today.

Supply Hand Sanitizer

Having hand sanitizer readily available will go a long way towards helping your customers feel safe at your business. The easiest way to set this up is to keep a bottle of it at your cash register. Another route would be to place a small table with a bottle of it by the entrance to your business. Of course, you can do both if you have the room for it. Either way, you're making it easy for your customers to keep their hands clean. If you want to go the extra mile you can also keep Lysol or Clorox wipes in your bathroom. This would allow your customers to wipe down any surface that they don’t feel comfortable touching.

Always Wear Masks

Your customers will feel much more comfortable visiting your business if they see that your employees are wearing masks. Your best option is to purchase a large number of disposable masks for everyone on your staff. This will guarantee that your employees always have a mask to wear and it’s more sanitary in general. You see, if you purchase reusable masks, then you’ll have to wash them. You’ll also run the risk of one of your employees not showing up with their mask. Disposable masks will simply make your life a lot simpler.

Post Your Sanitization Policy

If you’re keeping your business sanitized, then your customers should know that. The best way to make them aware of that is by placing a sign on your door that outlines your sanitization policy. You can keep it as brief or as detailed as you want it. Here’s an example of what you could say:

“We’re working hard to keep our employees and customers safe. We do this by sanitizing all surfaces on a daily basis. Whether it’s the table you’re sitting at, a door handle, or the restroom, you can rest assured that a member of our team has made it sparkling clean.”
