How to Let Your Customers Know You're Open for Business

The coronavirus stay at home order has forced many businesses to shut their doors to the general public. Now that Florida is beginning to reopen, local businesses need to make every effort to let their customers know they are open once again. If you’re about to reopen your business, use the following tips in this blog post to get in touch with as many of your customers as possible and bring in new business as well.

Check Your Google My Business Listing

It’s very important that the information on your Google My Business listing is up to date. In fact, it’s one of the main ways your customers know you’re open. That’s why one of the first things you should do to prepare for the reopening of your business is to do a thorough review of your Google listing. Make sure your hours of operation, address, and service offerings are all accurate. Also, if you modified your Google listing to display that your business was temporarily closed during the stay at home order, be sure to fix that as well.

Send Out An Email Blast

If you have a customer email list for your business, then make good use of it and send out a friendly email letting your customers know you’re reopening your business. You can even add an incentive to visit your business in the message, like a coupon or promotional offer. The email doesn’t have to be long. Just let everyone know you’re ready to serve your community again. You can also send out a similar message on your social media accounts.

Advertise on Google AdWords

If you want to quickly get back on the radar of your customers, then you may want to consider advertising on Google AdWords. This is a great way to promote your business and bring in new leads. If you’re running any type of promotion or have moved your business to a new location, then it’s a good idea to include that information in your ad.

Let the Chamber Help

Another great way to get exposure for your business is to become a member of the Chamber of Commerce. They have a page on their website dedicated to promoting the businesses of members that are open. If you want to rebuild your business, then joining the Chamber of Commerce may be a smart option for you.
