ideas to help celebrate the holidays with your remote employees

How to Celebrate the Holidays with Your Remote Employees

The holiday season has started and now more than ever your remote employees need something cheerful to look forward to. The pandemic may not be over, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t help make the holidays wonderful for your remote staff. Try any or all of the following ideas as soon as you can.

Host a Holiday Party

If you have a small number of employees and it’s feasible to have an in-person holiday party, then by all means start preparing for that now. If that won’t be possible, then host your holiday party on Zoom. To make your virtual holiday party even merrier, mail out restaurant gift cards to your employees in advance so they can order themselves a nice dinner on the night of the party. Make it fun by having online games that everyone can play together as a group.

Send Everyone a Letter of Encouragement

With all of the changes the pandemic has brought, this holiday season may not be the best for everyone who works for you. A great way to lift everyone’s spirits this holiday season is to write a personalized letter of encouragement to each and every one of your employees. In this letter, you can include something you appreciate about your employee and congratulate them for their hard work and loyalty.

Mail Out Treats

If you want to put a smile on the face of any of your remote employees, then mail them a box of treats. If you know all of your employees well enough, then you can personalize the contents of the box. If you don’t, then a box of a variety of different candies will do well. Just be sure to exclude candy with peanuts in it in case anyone is allergic. In the box of treats, you can also include a festive holiday card.
